Sprint 700wx 1.15 Update

Has anyone solved the problem of the TurboSFX error that plagues some of us when trying to load the updater? Will using winRAR to extract bypass the TurboSFX feature?

If you run the update and your WX gets stuck in boot loader... This would be the Treo screen with your firmware version in it (eg. 1.13 or 1.14). I have had 3 do this... There is much hope in bringing it back to life.

First extract the contents of the updater using winRAR to any directory. I will use 'c:\700WX' for the example.

Second, plug in the USB cable and charger to your WX and check device manager for HTC sync device at the bottom. If it does not show up just remove you battery with the cables still connected and put it back in, worked like a charm for me.

Third, go to command line and type in 'C:\700WX\ruucmd.exe -asyncoff -t -v C:\700WX\FwAndRom.ruu' and execute. It will prompt to press a key to begin.

You should see some info on the screen indicating progress and your WX screen should show radio and firmware updating with a progress bar. When it completes it will be at a plain Treo logo. Give it a few minutes and if it doesn't proceed just perform a hard reset and your device should be ready to go.

Hope this saves a couple of you from having to make a trip to the store.

I don't use my 700wx but I figured I'd share. Their support site still only shows the 1.15 update, but I guess the 1.20 is coming.

Anyone else hear anything?

I received it too but it might be a spam hoax. The site does not belong to Palm.

The site errors out and forwards me to a palm.com site so I'm assuming the site is owned by Palm.

A quick whois says it is owned by Palm.

EDIT: It could be a typo, it seems that the new "enhancements" are all covered in the 1.15 update.

I got it also, I did hear that an update was coming out but don't know if this is is. Anyone know someone at Palm. To confrim this I do not need to mess up my phone.

I had this bad boy waiting for me at home as well. Like others have said, it appears to offer the same upgrades as the last update did.

EDIT: The only difference between 1.20 and 1.15 seems to be the addition of Vista support.
