Am I missing something?

Am I missing something? What's the advantage of paying an extra fee for picturemail when you can just email using your sprintpcs email address to either an email address or a phone with picturemail? You would send to another sprint customer with picture mail at their picturemail address or just send to a regular email address.

well the benefit is they found a loophole in the system and made it possible to send pic mail from a non pic mail sending device. not everyone has the the ability to check their email via their cell phone, so that makes it difficult for them to receive pics. ppc phones have outlook built into them, unless they have a windows mobile device, then it will a little more difficult to check. i get free text, picmail, and internet on my 700wx and if people are sending you pics, then i would assume they have pic mail on their plan as well.

Is it possible to edit things so we're not stuck with Verizon's idiotic "Pix" and "Flix" nomenclature in the menus? I can't stand seeing that crap on a Sprint phone!

MMS Hack not working on my 700wx

Hello this is my first post..Let me start by saying hello to everyone... Ok then I used to have ppc 6700 which i did the hack and it worked flawlessly but I recently upgraded to a Treo 700wx and tried to install it and it won't work I go into the registry after installing the MMS hack and I followed the directions just like on my ppc HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI etc...but I cant seem to find the EnableServerEdit so I installed the self installer at the beggining of the page and nothing happens either, I soft reset after installation and then I go to Messaging,Menu,Switch Acc. and I don't see the MMS anywhere but I do see the MMS Configuration when I press Menu in the messaging window??????????Am I doing something wrong?? I'm getting frustrated with this Treo!!!! Thanks in advance...

OK, I didn't think to take plans into account. I just sort of assumed that being able to check sprintpcs mail was pretty much standard for a ppc phone.

Yes, you can check your Sprint PCS mail account on a PPC phone as long as you have Vision/Internet access, it is done through Pocket Outlook.
