I'm running nightraven's WM 6.1 for VZW w/ no issues. You may have a lot of junk files accumulated. That will most certainly slow things down. Look into a clean up app. SKTools and MemMaid are two popular ones. Check over @ www.dinarsoft.com for MemMaid and www.s-k-tools.com for SKTools

I tried to follow the instructions given above to update the ROM, I formatted the SD Card and put the NapaBoth.nb0 on the card I tried it for both the Sprint - Release 1.3 Build 20931 and NightRaven's Treo 700wx WM6.1 Kitchen I tired different SD cards too, but when I press the up button to update the ROM I get a message saying No ROM Image found on card. The cards do show up if I go into the phone when it is on. Any suggestions?

The cards may show up, but does the ROM image appear on the card? Did you format the cards specifically in FAT32, not just FAT? You need to make sure to use the ROM for your provider. Also, you don't load the kitchen onto your phone. The kitchen is used to "cook" (create) a ROM, not to run it on your phone

First of all, really appreciate your response. Yeah, the ROM image appears on the card. I did format both the cards with FAT32. I used the one for my provider too, that is what I mentioned I used on with the Sprint 1.3 Release Build 20931 and tried cooking up one with the Kitchen. So tired those 2 images separately. Both the cards I'm using are mircoSD with adapters to make them full SD, could that be the issue? I'll have to go buy a regular SD card to make the work, because I have a 8gb SDHC which is not recognized in the phone.

Definitely try a regular SD card, rather than a micro w/ adapter. That's my 1st guess. Also, if you're still running WM5, there's an issue with recognizing anything over 4 GB. You really only need a 1GB card for flashing purposes. I have a 2GB in my phone for daily use and a 1GB I use solely for flashing

I actually got it working, worked with a Kingston 1 gb microSD with the adapter it wasn't working with an A-data and a PQI card. Thank you so much.

I've found an issue with the VZW ROM.

I've been attempting to setup my email, and I use Windows Live Hotmail Premium. When I type in my email address, it doesn't give the checkbox for "Try to get email settings automatically from the Internet," and I'm not able to uncheck that box, therefore it comes up saying that I need to use Internet Explorer to access my email, as it's not preloaded with the Windows Live Hotmail information.

I was able to bypass it all by making up an email address, and it'll have the checkbox on the next page. I unchecked the box, entered my correct Windows Live Hotmail information, and after my account was created, I went back and changed my email to the correct address.

Either way, in WM6, the checkbox for this option is on the first page, and in the WM6.1 ROM, it's not available.
