Re: WM6 finally ported to Treo 700wx

Can anyone tell me where the next key is when you try to set up Bluetooth? I find my devices fine, but it says hit the next key to select the device and it doesn't exist, or is off the screen. I've hit every key that I can think of, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: WM6 finally ported to Treo 700wx

So what's the general consensus on this? Anyone had any major issues yet? My GF has a 700wx and complains all the time about it "doing stupid stuff" in her words exactly. Is WM6 more stable than WM5? I was going to try this past weekend but didn't wanna have to listen to the complaints if it don't go write.

I recommend doing the upgrade! It's very stable as far as I can tell. I used the Trimmed Rom and the only thing I had to do was find the cab for the original windows apps (hotmail/messenger). I think it's worth it.

Re: WM6 finally ported to Treo 700wx

I am using the trimmed ROM also. Nice and stable. I tried full version 4 over the weekend and I had issues so I reverted back to the trimmed one.

Someone help? What do you expect someone to do? If you're afraid of "bricking" your phone, then this obviously isn't something you should try.

However, if you're adventurous and wouldn't mind buying a new phone if you truly do f up the phone, then go for it.

I've flashed my 700wx with a custom WM 5 ROM with no issues.
Okay, what directions did you follow when flashing ur ROM?
Thanks

Let me see if I have this straight before I do it.

First Download the sprint upgrade file.

Download the Windows Mobile 6 .nb0 file...

Replace the sprint .nb0 with the WM6 one...

Format an SD card as FAT32...

Copy files to the SD card...

Im dying to get this done.. somone HELP

Hit the reset button...

During the Treo intro screen remove the battery...

Insert SD card...

Replace Treo battery while holding the volume up button...

There should be a "bootloader" screen that says to press up...

Plug in Treo power cord and press up on the directional pad...

Wait 10 minutes...

Phone will reset, and load up in WM6.

Is that it?
What files do i copy to the sd card??

Re: WM6 finally ported to Treo 700wx

Download the Sprint update, then copy it to the SD card. Download the WM6 .nb0 file and copy the file to the card. You may be asked to overwrite a file, accept the prompt. The update is ready. Follow the rest of the directions.

The files are located on the first page.
