Not just yet . . .
No...I know all about the program, trial version, one-time fee, etc., and it seems like the failsafe but I was just attempting to use the bluetooth method instead. I just wanted to check and see if anyone may have the info. Plus, does PDAnet have an Apple version?

The ONLY way to get Bluetooth DUN working on a Mac is PDANet. Sprint has locked the phone to disallow Bluetooth DUN and PDANet is the only program available that supports it.
Unfortunately, due to a bug in PDANet, the phone will freeze from time to time as well. I have a Macbook and a 700wx and this is the only option right now. |

It's a shame . . .
Wow! Well, I've quickly learned that you can't have everything on one phone - you end up sacrificing something. I hear PDAnet is worth it but I don't know if it is in this case simply because of the bugs and the freezing. Maybe i'll do the trial version and see what happens. Thanks for the info.

I think with PDA Net trial you can't get BT to work, just the USB connection, so one little more sacrifice for you: buy it.
you don't need to have PAM for 700wx, with PDA Net is just as simple and normal, and BT will limit your connection speed anyway below 1 mbs, even on the USB you can only achieve a few Mbs, and I noticed freezing problems only appear when I try to dl something, so figured that this is somehow related to the traffic volume rtather to any PDA net bugs, i.e. Sprint may be looking in some way to limit allocated bdwith per time frame, but I have no scientific proof, just a thought.. |
