A good note to everyone using this kitchen this is a default kitchen please do not just download this kitchen and not change anything and call it your own work cause its not. also give credit where credit is do Adyrn went out of his way to supply this kitchen and he put in alot of hard work porting the builds! Happy cooking!

Re: Verizon i910 6.1 and 6.5 Kitchens Ready

ok guys...please forgive me for asking this again..kinda.

im soo lost with this whole kitchen operation thing. i tried it how i thought i understood it, but it was a no-go.

i do not understand how to use this. i started my cooking "career" with the buildOS stuff, which probably doesnt help my case. so, having never actualy done it manualy, i dont know what to do. on the modaco site with the how-to, it looked like there was some kind of interface, im just using windows explorer. is there something im missing?

id like to learn because i dont seem to be getting vary far with the custom roms ive tried, although they all are pretty amazing the stock rom just doesnt cut it, and i just like to learn new skills

help please?

thank you,

TZ

Your not missing anything. This is old school cooking and not the do everything for you cooking that PPCKitchen and others do for you. You need to be the that actually removes stuff or adds it in.

This uses buildos too.

You need to be a bit more specific with your problems and then we can help you out.

Re: Verizon i910 6.1 and 6.5 Kitchens Ready

sure thing.

from what i understand, im supposed to take the updater.exe or a pda.bin and drop it in the corresponding .cmd icon. i do this, and it gets to the point where it extracts things, then it says access denied. ive tried doing this in administrator too, but it does the same thing. it makes the directories and i think it extracts some of the files, but i look in the directories, and i cant seem to find what im looking for. i dont think id quite understand what to do if i even found them.

i then looked at the instructions for removing stuff and the reference to those programs. cant say i had the most intelligent look on my face..lol.

i guess im supposed to open one of the files, though im not quite sure which one. once i do that, im supposed to figure out which string links to the program i want to remove.

thats about as far as ive gotten, though in a state of comfusion.

i apretiate your help

Re: Verizon i910 6.1 and 6.5 Kitchens Ready

Are you using one of the kitchens in this thread?

I thought they were complete already...

You don't want to extract bin files unless you are building a kitchen setup from scratch.

Re: Verizon i910 6.1 and 6.5 Kitchens Ready

You need the 6.5 kitchen, the 21806 SYS and ROM downloads.

That should get you rolling.

I *think* I added a packages.rar to the kitchens that contains tools to make OEMs.

If not, check out this
