I also noticed that with the samsung dialer activated both the "call Log" and the "phone book" don't link to anything. I don't know if this is even something that can be fixed since it is probably part of the Samsung dialer and not something that can be changed. But, I wanted to let you know that it's the phonebook too.

Thats something I can't fix sadly, but its something you can work around. Use VJBrisk and redirect it.

Are the orginial .exe files still in your ROM to rename? Do you know exactly what .exe files I need to rename with VJBrisk?

I take it that can't be hardcoded into the ROM...???

Yeah--there is one I am unsure of if it makes a difference, but just name the vjbrisk executable to these things:

seccontact.exe --this is the Samsung Phonebook. Redirect it to whatever. iContact is a good choice.

calllog.exe --this is the Samsung call log I removed.

plusseccontact.exe --Got me what its for.

As for vjbrisk on the rom--nice idea. Never thought of it, or had a need.

Have you tried Tiki Dragyn's skins? It's pretty good!!! Do you have a screenshot of the black samsung dialer? Here is a pic of Tiki dragyn's dialer skin with a button pushed. It's nice...

I did change the background image in Tiki Dragyn's skin because the words were hard to read on the dark clouds. So I made a different cloud picture. Here they are.

I saw that and it does look nice, but the rest of my phone is black. Adrynalyne is working on a black version, the only thing holding it back is how to change the text color to white. Someone did it with the i900 version and he has taken that .cab apart to look at it, but hasn't gotten the chance yet to work on it.

It just hit me... we all might take this stuff for granted but it is a truely amazing thing that a 'nobody' like me has imput for the software on my phone. Not only do we take WM for granted over a typical phone but we have input to make WM do "whatever" we want. That is truly amazing.

My wife has a LG Voyager and it's a good phone but I'm constantly wanting to change little things and it can't be done. We take for granted just how truly amazing WM is compared to a basic phone or even iphone. It may not be the perfect platform but at least it is extreamly moldable.

I'm a very happy..... uhmm... customer...

i know exactly what you mean i had the voyager before this phone and i was one of the first to get it bc i pre-ordered it and it was $299 then and yes i always awanted to change things but all in all it was a good phone bca froum like this helped me on it... but i was elligible for an early upgrade to get a storm and i asked if i could get this instead of the storm and they said yes for the same price of 160....HELL yea i have never been more fascinated by a phone
