there is something that drives me nuts and maybe you guys have a quick answer. If my touch screen is off and an email comes in, the touch screen turns itself on. How can I make it not do that? I want to hear the audible sound for the alert but I don't want the phone waking up every time I get an email. What happens is overnight I get a bunch of systems messages and the phone stays on for a couple of minutes before it turns the backlight off. I get a big drain in battery this way overnight if I am not charging. Any ideas?

in the start menu there should be an icon that says wakeuponsms config or something like that. Run that program and uncheck the e-mail option.

That was it, not sure how I missed that searching through the posts. I didn't hit MMS as a keyword, just email. Thank you VERY much, now the phone is pretty much perfect for me barring my minor external bluetooth GPS issue. =D>

Well I'm using the v1.6 ROM, I took my phone off the charger 12 hours ago and still at 100%

Can't you just check the release notes for what task manager is being used?

So I think it's been a little over 36 hours, a couple quick calls, lots of texting, testing a few 3 min videos with TCPMP, posting on one of the forums with Opera, and even a 15 min drive with the GPS active, I'm only at 51%! I only used the stock ROM for a day, so I can't compare the battery life with that. But I would say battery life is about 6X that of my Moto Q. I also noticed the newer battery driver doesn't jump around as much as it did in the 1.5 ROM.

The task manager is alright, easier access for switching apps, but I find trying to hit the tiny X to kill the app instead of switching to it difficult sometimes.

With very minimal usage, mostly short phone calls, I believe em'. That would be a Sunday for me..
