Re: Release Dates and Specs for Upcoming Smartphones Leaked

I have been waiting for an android device to drop on Sprint...and am very excited about the Hero...but the lack of an onscrn KB really concerns me. Also, I'm comfy with WinMo...its like that musty smell you get from your grandparents house...suffocating, but comforting. Not sure if I want to start from square one and learn Android...

I overlooked that. I didn't know that the Hero didn't have an on screen keyboard

That doesn't make sense. How could the hero not have an onscreen keyboard? How are you going to type a text message? Enter a website address? Or do you mean lack of a physical slide out keyboard?

Re: Release Dates and Specs for Upcoming Smartphones Leaked

if u have SERO, sprint going to assume u work for them for the most part... they dont want their employees buying up the stock for customers... they already give u a discount on your service, so i think they have the right to tell u,you cant add certain handsets under it

Of course the Hero has an onscreen keyboard...

taken from the engadget review:

Google's touch keyboard has been completely dashed here in favor of HTC's iteration, and that's a good thing... to an extent. The keyboard is certainly usable -- even good sometimes -- but it's hardly a competitor to Apple's onscreen QWERTY, and not even in the same universe as a physical keyboard.

The text in bold in the second quote is why I quoted your post earlier in the thread. I was confirming you meant lack of a physical keyboard, and not the lack of an on screen keyboard.
