That is an excellent point but many of the apps out there are free or Microsoft receives no revenue from sales of apps that are not free. Once Windows Mobile Marketplace is in place Microsoft will more than likely charge a percentage off of each sale of each app. Much like what most other Mobile OS manufactures with app stores are already doing.

Is not just the hard ware. windows mobiles has better multi tasking and and things that can bog the phone down if your not carefull. Iphone keeps it real simple so as to not bog as bad but not allow to much customizing. If windows mobile was only one phone i would bet it would not be a compairison. You will see some amazing winnmo phones very soon. Only thing i like on i phone is screen is glass and feels solid. other than that my omnia works just as good i think after mods. Android is verry promisingthough.

so people with iphones realize that its not all that and realize that winmo phones have more to offer. so hopefully a lot of the iphone users will switch to winmo phones. WINMO FTW!

so people with iphones realize that iphones arent so great and that windows mobile phones have so much more to offer. also, a lot of the apps that are like the ones on the iphone arent that good.

Re: Microsoft Posts Details on Porting an iPhone App to Windows Mobile

Windows could possibly be a heavyweight contender with this, but give credit where its due, the people at Apple are marketing genuises. The only way the iPhone is as popular as it is comes from the mass flooding of commercials for the phone and its apps i.e the marketing team. If MS was to flood the market like Apple has, there would be no question as to "who is better than who". Now with this store coming online, if they can add commercials to it as well, the MS phone line will be like a luxery item!!

You also have to blame the cell phone provider's, How many commericals did you see for the Touch Pro? Imo that is better than the Palm Pre and there hasnt been one released to date. If Sprint and all the other's compainies marketed these phone's there would probably be more sold than the Iphone.

Re: Microsoft Posts Details on Porting an iPhone App to Windows Mobile

i dont know why so many ppl want the iphone to go away. i could care less if it disappears, infact i want it to stay around. If the iphone goes away then everyone is going to buy a WinMO or andriod phone, and if i wanted to have the same phone everyone else does, I would have bought an iphone to begin with.
