Re: HTC Battery Bank!

I notice it has a hinge. What is that for? I would consider this if you could open it and dock you're phone inside it to charge. That would be awesome.

Re: HTC Battery Bank!

whats the big deal... this is nothing really... I have a 3000mha mugen power extended battery that is more powerful. Now if this was like 6000mha then yeah i would have a cord hooked up at all times.

why not buy a portable booster (for car batteries) put that in your tool box and plug your phone into the 12 volt acc slot on it)atleast if you ever had to jump your car you would have it ) just a thought....i know it is bulkier, but you did say you keep your phone in a tool box... depending on size... maybe it would fit....

Re: HTC Battery Bank!

I think I woud rather see HTC invest more time into making the batteries last longer on their own, without needing a 'power plan' if you want to be away from an outlet for a few hours. I am waiting for my new battery because I can't be away from power for more than 12 hours.

Re: HTC Battery Bank!

Yeah, that's just what I want to carry around... another brick the size of my phone.

That, obviously, isn't a solution to longer battery lives. That is a great solution for people who are backpacking or going to be out somewhere remote. This ISN'T a replacement for HTC looking at how they can squeeze more battery life into our phones.

Re: HTC Battery Bank!

I am not sure about all carriers but, I have received 2 free OEM batteries from Sprint corporate store. All you have to do is ask for one and they will give it to you. They are aware that this phone is a power hog and are happy to compensate for it with this method. I would rather carry 2 replacement batteries, that can fit in my change pocket of my jeans and never even notice them, that I got for free.

I wish Telus was so kind. I called customer service when my battery started to not hold a charge longer than 12 hours (it was closer to 20 when I first got it) and they just mentioned that they sold new batteries. Maybe I should move.

Re: HTC Battery Bank!

It does seem pretty bulky and is WAY overpriced, but there are times when something like this could really come in handy. It also presents an advantage by saving money on the next phone upgrade by not having to buy a spare battery or sending multiple ones from the old phone heading to the landfill.
