HTC "Snap" Hands on/Mini Review
Got my hands on a Sprint Snap! (I know, not that exciting).
Anyways, full specs, pics and my first impressions are posted here: http://www.wmexperts.com/sprint-htc-snap-hands |

Battery life seems pretty strong so far. Will know more later on but at 1500mah, it should be very good (Treo Pro has that and gets 5hrs). |

Re: HTC "Snap" Hands on/Mini Review
i would of bought the htc snap for secondary phone if they kept the trackball and button layout like the GSM version
it also looks to have a rubber coating .. which the sprint version does not

Re: HTC "Snap" Hands on/Mini Review
I'm considering dropping my Diamond for one of these.. does anyone want to throw down their 2 cents on pro's and con's ?
I could care less about Wi-Fi, and more about battery and stability which I'm not getting from my Diamond right now. Either way..if anyone can click a couple of keys and sounds off that's be great !!

Yeah, why did they drop the trackball from it? Anyway I would get this for someone who was a fan of The Dash or The Shadow.

Re: HTC "Snap" Hands on/Mini Review
Best Buy just replaced my wife's Palm Centro with a Snap (so sad, they would have given her a Treo Pro or a Touch Pro if they had any in stock, but I digress). She has used it for a few days now, and from what I can tell she loves it. After two days of minor usage the battery still had more than half of its charge. There have been no signs of stability issues, the only issue so far is just her getting to know a WinMo device.
In my experience with the Touch (HTC 6900), the interfaces that enable it to be "user friendly" as a touch screen have been what freeze up my phone. Disabled those, and I have not had to soft reset my phone for a month. As far as stability goes for the Snap, I am no expert, but I would guess that it will be more stable than the Diamond since it does not have a touch screen and has a keyboard. There is my two cents; but I wouldn't invest without more advice, I am still on the newbie stage here. Matthew

Re: HTC "Snap" Hands on/Mini Review
My wife and two college-age "children" all have Snaps -- Got them about 2-3 weeks ago... Very stable, lightweight, quick, nice software bundle, and a very capable phone. I'm a PPC "power user" since 2000 (original iPAQ 3630, then 3950, then 2210, then Dell x50v, then HTC Mogul, and awaiting the HTC TP2)... Bottom line is that I really like the Snap and even without wifi, I'd consider one for myself (even though I'm a touchscreen guy).
