I noticed in the video for the touch pro 2 they had a mute button on the back of the phone and I didnt see a flashlight for the camera. No flashlight. Thats why I bought the phone so I can see under desks when I am fixing computers. awwww maaaan. lol. Still that sucks no flash from what I saw. Anyone else notice that?

I will pass this up and I hope Sprint does too... We need a device with some more raw specs increasing. Faster CPU or more RAM at the VERY least.

Looks like HTC fixed all the shortcomings of TP1. The CPU/RAM/ROM was not the problem in the TP1. It was the craptastic speakerphone, small screen, and scroll wheel.

The phone looks like a dream to me. Ive only had my TP for about a month. My only wishes about my TP has been fixed.

Well for me this is more of what I was waiting for before I upgrade my mogul. The same old 2.8 screen didnt cut it for me so I am pleased with these specs.

On the other hand does this mean that now the touch HD will never come to this US?

Put the Touch Pro 2 in a Diamond2 style casing
*keep the 5MP camera
*make it black.
*keep the speaker phone,
*upgrade the processor speed

*add in heat shields and optimize the battery. Include video (2D, 3D) drivers.
- oh and Running on Windows Mobile 6.5 (black scroll bars would look nice eh?) with Manila HD

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like HTC has finally accomplished their goal of phasing out every possible hardware button. No d-pad from what I can see on the TP2.

I'm wondering why the TP 2 doesn't have a 5MP camera... It looks like a great phone, but I don't see it as a needed upgrade, but knowing me, I always love a new phone. Anyways, I can't wait for it to come out, so I can strip all the new junk from it and put it on my TP

Yeah its about time they went with a bigger screen. The micro screen size from 2005, even at vga resolution, is really dated.

Too bad WinMo isn't getting updated in time - wm 6.5 won't be ready until end of summer, and 7.0 won't be ready until spring 2010. No rush there, redmond.

I'll pass, my next device is probably the Palm Pre, already have a large pile of winmo hardware.

Nice that they brought back the tilt screen, that worked well on the Tilt (which I have)

So, yeah, guess this also explains the dumping of the 6800 (they are revving their hardware so fast people are not even close to ready to pop for a new device. The TP just came out in November...)
