I don't remember off the top of my head, but all the changes that are in the Touch HD will be there as well as new items. There is a video of the new TF3D in action in the Software forum in the "New Start Menu" thread

Re: Pro 2 software upgrades, will we get them too?

5 MP camera is really no big deal, a neighbor of mine has an Omnia with a 5 MP camera & it's just as big a POS as the TP camera........

We compared them side by side & they both pretty much suck.

Agreed but it still sucks to see the Diamond getting all the upgrades while the only thing it looks like the TP got an upgrade on is the screen resolution and keyboard tilt and some weird conference interface known as "Straight Talk" which is probably a GSM only thing.

IIRC, the TP2 even got Flash taken away from the camera.

Greetings All!

Nice incremental upgrades in a smaller package. But they downsized the battery to 1100 mAh. Yikes!

Cheers, Henri

Re: Pro 2 software upgrades, will we get them too?

Well, my view is that I paid for a Touch Pro, and knew its features when I bought it. The fact that something comes out with newer features is inevitable, and doesn't affect my current phone one bit. If I were in the market for a new phone later this year, and liked the Diamond 2's camera enough to make me forgo the Touch Pro 2's keyboard, then I'd buy it.

HTC doesn't owe us anything, just because we currently own a Touch Pro. They make what they believe will sell. I'm sure they are assuming (rightfully, probably) that the Pro will be more marketed towards business professionals, who care less about the camera than the "prosumer" market, who is purchasing their phone for more media- and social-centric purposes and will more gravitate toward the Diamond.

GSM Diamond 2:
107.85 X 53.1 X 13.7 mm (4.25 X 2.09 X 0.54 inches)

GSM Diamond:
102 mm (L) X 51 mm (W) X 11.35 mm (T)

CDMA Diamond:
101 mm (L) x 51 mm (W) x 14 mm (T) ( 4 x 2.09 x 0.6 inches)

So it actually didn't go down in size at all, it's a good amount bigger! And the battery is smaller than the CDMA one, but it is larger than it's GSM replacement of 900mah.
