Per NVIDIA's site "The first NVIDIA Tegra APX-based devices are expected to begin shipping in mid-2009".

My only hope is that they finally address the charging/overheating issue this time around and design a phone that can actually use all of its functions simultaneously... My Pro sees more time with the battery cover off than on.

There's hope for those of us disgruntled about specs or appearance of the Touch Pro 2 shown at MWC this week. There's a tremendous chance it wont be the exact same device on the way to the states. If you remember the leaked 2009 HTC lineup from a new months back you'll recall it clearly displays and labeled the CDMA versions of what is now known as the Touch Pro two, look at the obvious outer hardware differences. It doesn't look like we're getting the mute button on the back, i know its a little fuzzy but it appears to be a led flash to me. Only time will tell if Sprint and Verizon are smart enough to request a different CPU or if the option is even on the table from HTC, but it's too early to count out the N. American version of this device. Remember the MWC event was for the European markets and I guarantee you the U.S. market will have it's own announcement made this year by HTC and major carriers at the Spring or Fall 2009 CTIA Wireless. If you recall that's where the 1st generation Touch Pro was officially unveiled last year. So set your calenders, April 1st-3rd and/or October 6th-9th.

i am completely overwhelmed with all the new stuff coming out...

supposedly the Touch Pro 2 and the Diamond 2 will be able to be upgraded to WinMo 6.5 according to HTC...

now if they decide that they will start pushing out new devices with that crazy Tegra layout.....

wow....

Ours (Sprint specific version) is called the Tungsten W (codename).

Both new devices look spectacular, but I just got my Pro recently, and I'm just gonna hold out until the Tegra devices come out, only those will allow bigger screens to be enjoyed without killing the batteries so quick.

Anyone know a way to get rid of voice command--this is an EMERGENCY!!

I really hope we get the more finger friendly aspects of WinMo6.5. Don't really care THAT much about TF3D...

The TP2 looks pretty cool. I really like getting rid of the d-pad/zoom circle in favor of extra screen size and res. Tilt screen looks fun too.

It's just not enough for me to want to drop my current TP. Really I'm just NOT impressed with the performance of the Qualcomm chipset, and this will be my last phone with one.

If WinMo phones keep using one, then it'll be time to move over to Palm or Android.
