Re: HTC bringing VGA displays to sprint: Raphael and Diamond

According to quite a number of sources on the web, the Touch Diamond sports 192mb RAM...

http://crave.cnet.com/8301-1_105-9937044-1.html (to name one)

Hopefully the Raphael will sport the same or more (preferably more since its got the slide out keyboard to re-render everything for when slid in or out...)

Re: HTC bringing VGA displays to sprint: Raphael and Diamond

Though these phones look freakin awesome, and definitely pwn the iphone (even our well customized moguls and touch's do that sorta), the thing I'm really waitning for is the use of nvidia's APX 2500 gpu's for windows mobile phones (http://www.nvidia.com/object/hh_game...s.html)--those are the phones of the future!

Fixed the link for ya and yea I agree thats the phone that I really want! Mostly because the screen seems much larger then 2.8 plus it can do 720p :O and supposedly last 10 hours of video playback.

I'll still get the Raphael though to hold me until the 2500's come out.

Ah, thanks for fixing it! Yeah, I myself know I'm gonna be getting a Raphael to hold out with till the apx chip handsets are out, but even when they are, I'm sure they'll start a a price point of 800$ or more, so I'll definitely be waiting out till either HTC makes one of those phones a replacement for the Raphael, and then when it dies, free apx phone as a replacement due to insurance! So far every ppc I've had somehow ended up with a dark screen of death by the time the next generation model's been out long enough, no joke! I just get weird luck.

Yep, I'm definitely with Sprint, no one treats their smartphone/ppc users better, or even as good.

So will the HTC Raphael be the ultimate PPC?

http://www.intomobile.com/2008/04/23...-and-wifi.html

Sounds incredible, great looking touchscreen, decent size, QWERTY keyboard, Wifi, 3 megapixel camera, WM 6.1, MicroSD expansion. I can't seem to see what the Raphel would be missing as it stands right now (and if you're not for the QWERTY keyboard, then the Diamond is the same phone without the keyboard, which is a great option).
