Re: HTC bringing VGA displays to sprint: Raphael and Diamond

Greetings, I'm new here and am still using a 4 yr old LG phone.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about pricing on the Diamond or Raphael? I was close to buying a Mogul, but if the price is halfway decent I may try to wait, otherwise, I will make the jump now....

Re: HTC bringing VGA displays to sprint: Raphael and Diamond

Pure speculation on my part, but I would imagine that it will be similar to what the mogul was when it was initially released....somewhere around $500-$550 before rebates.

Re: HTC bringing VGA displays to sprint: Raphael and Diamond

That's what I was afraid of. The current 300 tag on the mogul is at the waaaaay north end of what I can/am willing to spend.

I may just end up with a Mogul. I am sure I will still be happy with it, but damg if these new devices ain't sexy.

Re: HTC bringing VGA displays to sprint: Raphael and Diamond

draven (Crow reference?): Depending on your status with your provider, don't forget you get a discount for renewing your contract. That can help quite a bit with the costs.

I would also assume both devices will be in the $500 range, just like the current ones. Considering the new technology, and the fact that the Diamond will be the one aimed at average consumers, the Raphael may unfortunately appear for an even higher price.

Good call on the reference! been using the name forever....

Yeah. I'm on Verizon, but plan on jumping on Sprint SERO. I am more likely going to go to the Mogul, think that would good place to start. Could probably find other device discounts, but that plan is quite attractive....

I would consider Diamond, but I am also interested in the keyboard...

Re: HTC bringing VGA displays to sprint: Raphael and Diamond

I have a question

I see the phone has a front camera (on the GSM model)

However will this carry over when it's released to Sprint? Normally CDMA phones never get the chance to do "Video Chat"

As awesome as it would be... I don't see sprint letting this fly.

HTC Diamond will be sold in Taiwan for TWD 23,900 which is about $800.
