Though i'm not a big fan of the iPhone myself, it does have some nifty features that Microsoft/HTC should sit up and take note of.
1) Whatever else you say about it, the quality of the screen and the multi-touch are very cool. 2) The use of full safari as a web browser instead of a dumbed down version is also a very nice feature. 3) The integration of an actual multi Gigabyte hard drive would make everybodys life easier, instead of having to go out and buy a new Memory card with each generation of phone. Otherwise, it'll sell great to Mac Users, and trendy people with too much money who don't realize what a pain not having a hard keyboard really is, no matter how big Apple makes the on screen keyboard |

I agree on two points with you.
Quality of the screen and the multi-touch really are cool. I would like to see this in my next PPC as well. Safari is not for me personally. But there might be people that really want it. I don't see a use for a hard drive for myself but a lot of users might like this for their MP3's. I hardly use my PPC for MP3's. But all in all I think it is still too expensive for what you get.

Like most of my toys, thats what the iPhone would be; another toy. I have no immediate need for one - it falls into the "want" factor. I dont quite get how there can be so many naysayers for a device thats not even in production yet! I LOL at various comments I've read here and other forums. For the ones that have so much negative to say, have you used one yet? I didnt think so. |

Interesting no one ever mentions how slow it is.
It’s cellular data connection is Cingular’s EDGE technology, which is much slower than the CDMA EV-DO networks, and does not have the extensive that Sprint has.

What's in a name? That which we call a genius by any other name would be just as smart. I beat up Sprint and all I have to show for it is this lousy When you were in diapers and wetting the sheets I was out hacking with the ppcgeeks. |

Who cares about the 4 and 8 gig hard drives? What can you put on there? MUSIC from iTunes, LOL. you sure cant put programs on there. and the little sorry widgets they have cant take up no more than .5 Mb at the most. Its just a souped up IPod with a phone. Its so funny that on a yearly basis they make the smartphone look more appealing to teenagers. All I see in my city is teenagers and hell some people that work at mcdonalds with a 6700, what are you possibly organizing at mcdonalds, NO offense, but its just funny. I remember the first phone I bought the treo180, and my first ppc phone the toshiba thera 2032. They both cost $649 with a contract, now you can get a 6700 for 2-300 bucks. Its crazy that these companies are downgrading the quality of their devices to sell them to the younger market. The Iphone, the only + that they have right now is that it supports html mail. Thats it. I mean, I have a 30gig ipod and a 80, and the only reason I have the thirty is because it took to long for them to make a 80. And then you have to use wifi to use the browser, because cingulars edge network is worse than dialup.
