Re: So Far So Good [[minireview]]
You can skip that and use the phone as is as has been stated. I used mine for a little while only synced to my Exchange server.

I just like avoiding the store if possible, but I will have to go there to get the accessories it seems. New question: some people on HoFo complained about the voice quality on the phone. Bad phone, bad reviewer, both? |

The quickest way and simplest seems to be to export your contacts from outlook to a .csv file then goto your gmail account. On the contact screen there is an import button. Use that and wa la. I ran through all my contacts in gmail on the computer to clean up any that needed it and then let the phone sync them. |

Re: So Far So Good [[minireview]]
I like many things about this phone!
But, I have a pop email account that seems to have some issue when I mark messages read, they just keep coming back as new. Has anyone else experienced this issue? |

Re: So Far So Good [[minireview]]
i had this problem on winmo as well. it just takes a bit of time for the pop server to refresh and delete the email you've deleted locally. make sure you allow the mail to download fully (pics attachments, etc) before you delete it and wait 5-10 minutes after deleting an email before hitting refresh, they probably won't come back.

Re: So Far So Good [[minireview]]
In my opinion the voice quality is very good. It does sound a tiny bit more "digital" than my old Omnia, but the voices still sound much more natural because it seems to have a very balanced frequency output. Whereas many phones are seriously lacking in bass, on this one when you're talking to someone with a low voice their voice actually sounds normal.

A few days later...
Things that I don't love: The keyboard still gets me, my typing is way off compared to my XV6800/titan.. Things that I'm impressed with: Voice quality on calls and speakerphone construction of phone batter life thus far has been comparable or better than my titan the camera quality, the video especially is very nice, the built in youtube uploader is also nice. |
