Nothing is for sure with Verizon until they make an announcement about it, and then sometimes not even then.

New kernels have been posted that fix WiFi and can be overclocked. mydroidworld is down at the moment because of high demand but I have posted a cached page link in the Froyo thread in the upgrade forum. I have also posted an image of linpack scores for those that are interested.
