any work arounds to get maps working?

EDIT:

1. Using Root Explorer (or ADB) move Maps.apk from system/app folder to the sdcard.
2. restart the phone
3. install Maps.apk from the SD card (not from the Market)
4. Go to Settings-->Applications-->Manage Applications-->All and find Maps
5. Click on "Clear Data" and the "Uninstall"
6. You should now be able to go to the Market and install it from there

Maps already works. Just use the 4.2 that is already installed. Right now it is just confused with the market which doesn't think it is installed.

Fab over at AF has a Nextheme 2.2 rom that has wifi tether and it looks nice too.
