Well since the demise of the Sholesmod, they seemed to have lost much of their development team. The rude ethics letter was probably the final nail in the coffin for them. After that, many folks will not use their roms or help with them out of resentment for the DM team. That's why many guys on here will recommend that you drop DM and go with a rom cooked by a respectable chef who contributes positively to the modding community.

Ya it kind of pisses me off that there not doing anything i was one of the people that acutally gave them 5 dollars. I guess that was a wast. I'm starting to look into other roms. The problem im having since i've been spoiled with droidmods easy flashing, is that im kind of lost on how to do it the long way, and what roms are good. I guess im going to have sit down one night and acutally do some work. I started to look at alldroid forums but still confused.

I'm glad I never used the automated ROM thingy that they released, because now I understand a lot better how it all works.

I just wiped my phone and reinstalled droidmod. I like it cause it doesn't have alot of bells and whistles to it to slow it down. Coming from a TP2 I was constantly flashing roms. Unitl I find another rom like this I'm keeping. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.

I am waiting to see what their next ROM is, since their 1.0 ROM seems to work well for me.
With all of the ROMs available, I would not know which one to select with the same ease of installation as the one I currently have.

Reading between the lines it doesn't sound like they plan on releasing another ROM.

I think the DM team prided themselves on having exclusive stuff. Now they are nobody, and its going to take an act of God to put them back on the map.

1. They were the first to compile the Droid kernels. Now everyone does it (including me).
2. They never built a rom from source, but many have (koush, chevyno1, blackdroid, alldroid, me, and a few others who don't really distribute roms).
3. They waited and waited for official 2.1 to be "legal" when it was just an excuse. They could have built from source.
4. They have had much infighting, that has turned people off of them.
5. Their DMUpdater app is now irrelevant for the most part, due to 2.1.


Its just been a string of bad luck for them, and I don't forsee them pulling out of it. Now if they had been forthcoming and worked with the community, instead as a team against it, then this wouldn't be nearly the issue it is now.

Ill have to agree with that, and on the same note im jumping ship... now i just need to figure out how to do this rooting stuff the long way
