Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

Unfortunately my droid is going back tomorrow. Don't know if its coincidence or not but since the update my battery life is cut in half with no unusual usgae, freezing up, and its been heating up all the time. I did a factory wipe and reinstalled droimod. I went very light with the apps reinstall hoping that would work. Since nothing changed I am going to unroot it, wipe it, and bring it back. I'm hoping the replacement doesn't have 2.1 already installed. I am even questioning rooting it and just updating. I may just go with the 2.1.

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

Why wouldn't new Droids have 2.1 on it?

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

If you get a droid that has been sitting on the shelf for a while, it wouldn't be on the newest release. It only came out a couple weeks ago. It takes longer than that manufacture, box, and ship a phone.

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

Mine was like that when I first bought it. I purchased my Droid right after the 2.0.1 update came out and it had 2.0.0 on it. As soon as I powered on the phone and activated it, it prompted the update.

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

I should be getting my new droid tomorrow so here's my problem: I unrooted and updated my phone to 2.1. Honestly I don't thinks its so bad. Gallery is cool, I can use the email app for my yahoo account and its fast. I can use helix launcher and have a nice clean screen. Only thing I don't like is the title bar is white. When I was rooted it was black and nice. So I'm up in the air as to what to do. I think I have the whole flashing roms out of my system.
