Also, Google Earth has been having issues with the update. That's why I didn't install it yet. I'm sure they come out with a fix very soon.

I see what your saying so the only real way to keep it accurate is to leave GPS on but the problem with that is that it eats up battery power. Correct me if im wrong but didnt the Windows phones do a better job using agps? or was that always just regualer GPS running on those phones?

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

Anyone else having problems with droidmod since the update went out. Since I got my notification ( saturday morning ) my phone has been freezing up. Today I pulled the battery 3 times. When the phone is ringing my screen is black. I hear the ringtone and its vibrating constantlly. Also my internet is taking forever. I have not added anything since the update and even prior too. Anyone else having these or other issues?

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

Well from my experience, it works exactly the same. The droid gps locks about 20 times faster though. I don't notice any difference in batter usage either. My phone locks in less than 5 seconds everytime. The aGPS locks immediately. Every other phone I have had takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute. No complaints here with GPS. IMHO, Moto got it completely right.

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

The only problems I have been having after the update was pushed is intermittent loss of 3G signal. Not really sure if it's caused by that or not. Hopefully it will get better, or maybe the new radio flash will fix it (if I can ever find it).

Did you upgrade to 2.1 or are you still running droidmod?

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

Here is the link to the best baseband update. You should not need to reactivate your phone after the update but if you do just activate through *228.

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

UPDATE: I installed the radio update and it seems to be working. My phone is holding a perfect 3g signal at the moment. That hasn't happened in a while. Thanks Blazingwolf!
It still drops to 1x periodically, but the signal is much better overall.
The new baseband version is C_01.3E.03P.

Re: droidmod 1.0 and 2.1 update

Does that baseband update the radio? Or does it update 2.01 information.
