It would be interesting to see how big of a ROM we can compile and successfully flash without invading the userspace partition. That way we know how much fun stuff we can bake in.
Dear Sir,
You are right, but I have seen also some useless/deleted program file names are also available in phone memory program folder.

how to flash the new rom?

hi, about the process described in page 3 i (finally) managed to install the lgnpst and detect my phone. Thing is i checked the .bin mark and pointed it at the bin file vs750test5.bin (previously downloaded) but i don't find any .SCR or .PRL file to point at according to your instructions. should i just ignore this files? i already backed up NV data...

Waiting your reply.

Items included -
- LG Drivers and LGNPST - contains the 3 driver installs, and a folder with LGNPST and a readme for correct install order. PLEASE follow it.
- LG Fathom Cleaned ROM w Opera 10 no MMS - cleaned as in bloatware mostly removed, still have a few things to go. Running Windows default texting so no MMS.
- LG Fathom Cleaned ROM w Opera 10 - same as above but with Powermobia added back in.
- LG Fathom v7 ROM - stock v7 ROM, just in a bin format so you can flash it this way instead of thru the default way (I always had trouble getting the "correct" way to work)
- LG Fathom v7-5 hybrid ROM - running the v5 OEMs with the v7 SYS. It looks and acts like v5, just has the newer Windows sys 23127 from v7

I personally recommend the Clean w Opera10 and still having Powermobia right now - you lose no (wanted) features and it boots pretty fast. I haven't personally been successful with functional MMS without Powermobia, but I'm far from done.

To flash the phone follow these instructions spocky gave in this thread on xda (be sure to thank him, he did the hard stuff) -

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE backup your nvs before you start flashing roms.
What are the tech specs on LG Fathom Cleaned ROM w Opera 10 , how much space is saved really?
_

Also is there a way to fully remove Titanium on WinMo 6.5 device or are we S.O.L. and stuck with it? I'd like a basic plain today screen like as in 6.1 cause I really dislike Titanium and would rather theme it myself.

Re: Kitchen released

Exactly how anemic would you like this ROM?
I can cook one up in a few minutes and see what happens with it. I could even try to rip out Office if you'd like.
So far I've pretty much gotten everything else cleaned out. I'll see what happens when I try using some of my own EXT files.

Built!
What's included: Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Core
What's removed:
Adobe Flash
Adobe Flash Codecs
AutoUpdate
CHome (Titanium)
Entertainment (Games (solitare))
Lockscreen
Office
OneNote
SampleMusic
Microsoft Myphone (kinda useless really)
Welcome center
Windows Live
Widgets
PowerMobia
LG Volume
Startup and Shutdown animations

OEM Items:
Arcsoft MMS
LG Camera
LG Mobile Hotspot
LG Phone Canvas

That's it.

It's available here.

I HAVE NOT TESTED IT. It should work though.

I'd actually like to keep...
Adobe Flash
Adobe Flash Codecs
Lockscreen
Office
OneNote

Unless theres better stuff out there that replaces this?

But I got a question for buggy ram issues, has anyone tried Ateksoft CoolCamera and CoolCapture instead of the default camera? It used to be my favorite camera app on my samsung i760, but it didn't wanna work too well on my HTC TP2, dunno bout the LG Fathom cause I haven't got it from ebay yet.

Speaking of which, wish me luck I took a gamble, it was a mint condition LG Fathom just no battery or battery door, so even still when I get it I've got to order a battery and door, but I'm gunna get the extended battery. I just hope the phone actually works. LoL!

Re: Kitchen released

Same here, when I tried the striped ROM from da_reeseboy, leaving the camera out did not net any RAM that I could tell.
The one I am running now (LG Fathom Cleaned ROM w Opera 10), I can't seem to get GPS working. I think something was mentioned about this a few pages back..
I won't have much time to work the kitchen until I get this order of bulbs finished.
I guess it can't be much harder then building the ROM for the i910 was. I just have a hell of a time with all those reg edits...

GPS isn't all that important I guess, so I will stick with what I am using for now...

Hey pizzaboy192, have you uploaded any of your other Fathom ROMs?
I don't text, mms or sms but I do like to use the email that doesn't do the "Threaded" thing. And I only use WiFi for data. I wasn't about to fall prey to VZW and their racket tiering scam. They don't seem to allow certain phones newer then the Diamond to use pay per use data...

Any way, If you could find time to cook and post a ROM like the "LG Fathom Cleaned ROM w Opera 10", or close to it with a functional GPS, I would appreciate it very much..

I can see about uploading some other comes. I can strip them down for a minimal build. The one I posted has working gps, and office is available from the market. It would probably work well as a test. I am Home for a few random days, so I will try my best to upload a few fun roms.
