Ok, there are a few changes on 1.5:
- a few packages were updated to the most recent ones...(Phone Canvas Enhancement, Device Info, Voice Recorder, etc...)
- double bluetooth icon fixed.
- new comm manager with a few more options.
- disabled the rotation on all manila tabs except Music and Doc Explorer, which can be easily enable with provided cabs (and i do recommend them), they were disabled to avoid glitches when rotating with the music tab and doc explorer. (again if you use the cab that will be posted, all tabs will rotate correctly, however, the footprints, reader and doc explorer will not display correctly when rotated)
- few changes on the theme with a few new icons, etc...
- manila should display faster than 1.4, (at the home tab, click menu then Weather Demo) the Cookie Home tab now comes with default 1 page with 16 icons (can be modified using CHTEditor inside tools folder)
- all modes on camera enabled and working, to add a footprint just take a GPS photo, them go to album, then on menu you should see an option to "Save as footprint", or you can use the Footprints software included...
- Slacker radio added .. (Multimedia Folder)
- Jbed Java replaced with Sun Java Package.
- finally! the clock flipping glitch is fixed.
- a few others that i just don't remember now... will post later... lol

looks great!
1.4 custom+full was great but abit too slow for me, plain was a little too plain
1.5 custom full verizon seems to run much better for me!!!

Have these cabs not been posted yet or am I looking in the wrong place?

Installed 1.4 yesterday and upgraded to 1.5 today and so far I'm quite happy. Thanks!

yes, much much much better than 1.4! 1.4 custom was just too slow to be useable for anything more than oooing and ahhhing friends. this one feels fast enough that i could run it for a couple of weeks with no worries.

second reboot since installing (installed a few things, opera 10, setup myspace, twitter, facebook, etc) 5min after booting, running activesync (to ensure everything is updated):
102.89 in use, 85.67 free
running like a dream! few things i like better about nrgy, but nrgy isn't stable over the long term at all. just winds up a buggy mess & i dont care for wiping my phone every week or two.

Is anybody else having trouble with haptic feedback? I get it on the menus and the phone dialer but not in messaging (email or SMS) no matter if I use the QWERTY keyboard or the phone keypad. It is definitely turned on in Settings as well as the "Touch Input Settings" w/in messaging.

Didn't have it in 1.4 or 1.5.

Fixed this one myself. I had an old dump of my registry and I compared any settings that had the string "vibrat" in them. I changed two, I'm sure one of them fixed it and the other made no difference but at this point I'm not going to change them back one-at-a-time to find out.

The more likely one was:

HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting\Support VibrateInPressKeyPad
which I changed from 0 to 1

The other I changed was:

HKLM\Software\OEM\KeyState\APPLICATION_BTN_VIBRATE 1

was set to 12 with the new ROM but was 28 previously so I changed it to 28.


Anyway haptic (vibrating) feedback has returned to my messaging apps.
