No ROM is perfect even on Android, that's why so many are looking forward to updates (Froyo, etc.) and at least Android is giving them out to most of the recent devices. The same can't be said for WM. You have to pick the best of the worst..
I usually wouldn't argue on a forum like this but I have to disagree. Windows Mobile is one thing, but this phone has such a bad build quality its not even funny. A phone that has buttons that get stuck, comes with a UI that is completely unstable, and the battery dies after a couple hours is not "great" at all.

My wife is very pleased with her Imagio--and even though I don't use it, I seem to be as well. Now I just hope that some wonderful, twisty person over at XDA Developers gets Froyo running on the Imagio using the HARET/MicroSD Card method like they have on several other HTC phones (like the HD2). Before anyone says anything--I also have Froyo running on a VZW HTC Vogue whick has less "snort" than the Imagio. Be kinda fun having WM and Android live on the same phone!

It's cool, it's not an argument to me there are different experiences for different people is all. At the time of its release it was one of the "best" that VZW had to offer besides the TP2 which to me are almost identical.

I have to agree with that, you would expect that by now, HTC would have buttons and battery life down to an art.

I had a serious battery issue (short life). I thought it was the rom but it turned out that it was something that had to do with xda_uc or that I was using my storage card to store email attachments. I re-flashed my phone and manually set everything up (like in the early days) and installed my programs to the phone instead of the storage card. I set up email (exchange and 2 gmail accounts) to not download attachments unless I click to download and I now have no freezing and my battery life has returned. I cant be sure that this would help those of you out there with battery issues but it seemed to have remedied mine.

With the exception of the Max rom, I have been very happy with this phone. I understand that most android phones suck batteries as well.

On to the real subject. I have the cookie 23XX version Aug. 18. This has been extremely stable, average battery life and lots of good features. Is it worth it to go to the 8-25 version?

Speaking of battery life, do any of NRG's ROM's have low battery warnings? Twice now in 2 weeks I've been talking on the phone and the battery has just died, boom. No warnings or anything so that I could warn the person I'm talking to that I need to wrap it up.

All,

I have been using EnergyRoms on my Imagio now for some time and have been very happy with the setup. Recently I have been having some screen calibration issues - especially along the right hand side of the screen. Often I will press an Icon only to have the application from the icon next to it launch.

I have tried using the screen calibration utility, but it just loops and never lets me finish.

I have looked all over and not found a remedy. Can anyone direct me to a solution?

I have the same issue on the GTX and the Dinik Glass 23678 ROMs.

I think you will find that it is totally ROM independent -because it's a hardware issue. I had this very thing happen with a previous phone and finally had to have it replaced. Of course, if you want to make sure, get a copy of the original Imagio ROM and try it with that - my bet is you will find that it still has the problem and will wind up calling VZW.

Regarding your tweet, a lite ROM would be nice. My vote would be to dump any app that can be downloaded from the Marketplace. Reason? That way updates could be installed w/o duplicating what's on the ROM. In case someone wanted to stay with a particular ROM you made or if you decided to stop creating new ROMs
