Appreciate insight on whether it's working and which ROM to try for best battery life (and least lag).
I have noticed that I need to let the ROM "Marinade" if you want to call it that for a few days. The first 24 hours I got great battery life. The second day I'm not sure what happened but from 8am - 4pm I was at 15%. Not sure what happened. Did a *228 update PRL and for the next 2 days it's been better.

I don't average a whole lot of talk time daily, I do more with intermittently checking email, surfing web/Facebook. I have the same settings disabled as you do, in addition I use NRG's data controller program because my office is as I call it "behind God's back" and I have the worst connection there. So nowadays with light to no use I'll end up at 75%, I'll be at 50 with a couple of short calls or text messages.

I think visually or psychologically it makes a difference when you are looking at the battery icon NRG uses versus the standard battery icon that is on the stock ROM, or other ROMs that keep that same 3 bar marker. You tend to be more conscious of the battery going down with the NRG indicator.

I'm thinking about going to a version back a few months that was stable and fast. Or maybe the GTX theme? I don't know but I'm tired of soft resetting three times a day.
I also have this problem. A few hours after a soft reset my memory would drop to about 20Mb free with nothing but ActiveSync running. I tried disabling various tabs and found that after disabling the music tab (and a soft reset) the available memory settles to around 30Mb for a day or two but will eventually dwindle down and a soft reset is required to regain resources. I have tried using cleanRAM but it only helps slightly.

I had this same issue on the stock ROM which is the #1 reason I flashed my phone with a new ROM.

I am running the WM 6.5.5 Sense 2.5 Co0kie ROM - 5/16.

I am keeping a log of all processes and memory usage over the next few days to see if I can determine where the leak is.

Is XDA-UC running properly with the May 22 ROM? I'm running 23569 May 22 and XDA-UC seems to be skipping everything but Energy Settings Exporter when it runs. It's not installing any of my cabs like usual or importing my exchange and gmail settings like usual.

Edit: Put the wrong date, corrected

I am running the 22 nd cookie version and XDA-UC worked great for me. it seemed to take a bit longer than normal but installed everything.

I just flashed back to May 16 and my XDA-UC settings are importing properly on that one. I've tried reflashing May 22 a couple of times now and for whatever reason it refuses to do anything I instructed it to do in the SDConfig.xml file. Basically, I have it loading a bunch of cabs and putting in my Exchange and Gmail info. None of that is working for the build I dloaded, however.

One other unusual thing that happened is that the first dload of the zip file for May 22 was messed up, seemed to be fixed on second dload. Never happened to me before and I doubt they're related issues but I just thought I'd mention it.

I'm seeing this issue to. I'd swear I saw a place where you can change out the default browser client that loads from the browser tab but now that I want to change from Opera to IE I can't find it for the life of me. Anyone know? Does IE do tabbed browsing?

Question on settings exporter. Last time I upgraded I chose export all, flashed and then imported all, but things like ringtone and a few other settings were not recovered. Is any additional steps other than export all / import all that need to be done? When I check the individual registry files the data looks correct. Likely just user error on my part, but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
