Re: flashing problem

okay im sorry, but im gonna go ahead and be a ***** here, you have yet to answer my question, did you or did you not flash the phone in bootloader mode, because my computer cant doesnt have the drivers to access the phone in the bootloader mode while its perfectly fine when it boots into windows mobile. I'm sorry but im just 1/2 way into my contract and i dont want to brick it. Now if you did it in bootloader mode then i'm gonna have to find away to get drivers or w/e and if you did it in windows mobile, well thats nuff said

Re: flashing problem

I'm wondering if you are having problems because your PC is a 64bit system. Is there any way you can use a 32bit system to flash. Maybe a laptop with xp or vista 32bit. I think I remember someone else having problems because they were trying to flash using a dual 32/64 system. Dunno

If you have a SD card you can flash it that way.
Just Place the RUU_signed.nbh file on the root of the SD card and Rename it to VOGUIMG.NBH

Then just enter the bootloader mode and follow the on screen instructions.

Once you get a ROM up and running it might not be a bad Idea to run the unlocker again, seems like something is wrong. The driver should automatically install and should work just fine on a W7 64 bit pc.

Re: flashing problem

Leo,

Running the self extracting unlocker will bring you into bootloader, but That is after Windows has already seen that your phone is connected. The question you asked was how I flash my phone, I apologize for the confusion. This is just how it works for me everytime.

Re: flashing problem

If you have the same OS then I don't know why one would work and the other won't. I wonder if there is a usb port problem with your PC. Did your PC come pre-loaded with Win7? If not, maybe you should contact your PC's manufacturer and see if there is some kind of usb update. Or maybe you have got some kind of conflict going on there that would cause the usb port to not function properly.

Re: flashing problem

no, i built my own pc. I have no idea as to why this is happening, i hope its just a bug in the OS and nothing wrong with the hardware....
