It's a very good possibilty its the HTC guardian file as for the cab file it should just install they don't really open. Now so that I don't give you miss information I would like to refer you to a tutorial for the Metro Vogue written by a moderator on Howards Forums http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1495585. It is a good Tutorial for Metro users and has been referred many times.

Changing ROMs should not affect the flash unless you goto a carrier ROM and allow the customization to run. If you picked a generic carrierless ROM and then used a carrier cab and wap/mms cab for the data setting you should be fine. But also refer to the link in my previous post as it is written by someone who flashes phones to Metro.

Is it the ROM from step 3 or is it a custom rom. Give me more details, so far I got you flashed a ROM and its hanging at the first screen where it says windows. Did you follow all the steps in order? What did you do to get there? Details!
If it one of my customs first let it sit for upto 10 minutes then if it doesn't continue to boot do a soft reset.
If the above doesn't solve it you'll need to provide the following information radio version from first boot screen, lower right corner in red R:##.##.## and the SPL version from the tri color screen "bootloader" and also what ROM you are trying to boot "name or link".

**edit**
I forgot to mention that you could also try going into EPST, selecting the security tab and enter a bogus user name and password in both fields, then go to menu click ok, ok and let it reset then go back and enter the correct info into pst and see if that solves it.
Also if there is anything but your#@mycricket.com in the security tab you will need to start from the beginning and run the shipped ROM and NOT let customization run.
Hi Whitey, I noticed that for the most part I get the "EV" signal on my phone, but when I actually go online, or use an app that requires internet, it switches over to "1X".
Had Cricket provision the phone and reset WAP/MMS settings. Did the *228 thing.
Any suggestions or quick fixes? This is on my girlfriends Alltel Vogue that was flashed to Cricket using one of your ROMs (which in my opinion are the best out there).

If you are getting EVDO when not accessing the WAP I would refer back to the PST setting in post #28 and the additional QPST setting in post #29 it sound as though you have something that is either incorrect or is reverting. I don't believe it would be a ROM issue, it's in your setting.

38515 is the one I'm already using. Cricket CSRs haven't been any help at all so far.
