How do i install ROM on HTC 6900! Im Not a Noob Just never DOne HTC Phones

hey guys i flash phones for a living but i never tried to mess with the htc phones...i have a htc 6900 and i have unlocked it already thanx to a post i found here but when i download a rom and extract it its just a folder not a .nju or whatever file so what do i do i put the folder on MM card when i was in bootloader but nothing happen...someone please help

On your SD card (2GB or less) more the .nbh file over to the sd card. Rename file to VOGUIMG usually the fill is named RUU_Signed or something similar. Insert card to Vogue, enter bootloader, follow instructions on screen.

Word of advise check your radio version and SPL version before flashing a custom ROM most require GPS radio versions and some require specific SPL versions.

th rom i got its a folder called v2.1jB i extracted it to my desktop am i not suppose to? and really when i open i dont see any .nbh files...

also how do i manually put phone into bootloader?

the reason i am trying to flash rom is because i cant delete the htc_cm_guargain file because it protect so i can overwrite it...

sorry for all the questions how do i also check my radio and spl so i dont brick my phone

If you open up the rom with winrar or similar you should see a list of files such as ruuutility, updateutility.exe but I'm not sure what rom you are trying to install. If you would tell me that then I could download the file and take a look.

To put the phone in Bootloader you need to press the power + camera + reset button all at the same time, hold it and you will go to the bootloader screen (tri color)

whne i open the folder i see oem,rom,ruu,sys,tools,v2.1jb,vextra and uildnb....sorry man i cant find the post where i got it from and so do i just rename the whole folder?

If you can find this file
RUU_signed.nbh this is the one you need to rename for SD installation.
Also if you can find the ROMUpdateUtility in the file you can flash the ROM using the USB.

Also what carrier are you flashing too.

ok i found the romupdateutility in the RUU folder in the custom rom...when i open it and try to flash the rom i get error [240] saying update utility can not open the requested file check you update utility

i have a sprint htc vogue i am just trying to flash a custome rom so i can get web n mms ..i cant delete the htc_cm_guardian

Ok give me a little more info
What is your boot loader version SPL**.** on the boot loader screen.
What is your radio version from start menu, settings, system, device info.
