Re: How to restore Verizon Vogue Standalone GPS

Hate to post this because it looks like its working for other people, but this seems to have bricked my phone. Well, it turns on, but i cant get any voice, or data. nothing verizon could do for me either. Tried flashing back to older unlockers and radios that i could think of with no success. If need be, flash the stock MR1, BUT DO NOT LET CUSTOMIZATIONS RUN. This will put a dialer and things needed for programing, but will not change the PRI which is what we are concerned about. Then you can use a custom ROM and radio.

Re: How to restore Verizon Vogue Standalone GPS
Yeah, tried that, didn't work, then tried doing it again and letting customization go and still didn't work. Ended up getting it replaced Via warranty, but also picked up an Imagio at the same time to play with.

You may have needed a new AKey, not always but maybe. What did Verizon's "tech support" say? |

Re: How to restore Verizon Vogue Standalone GPS
i know someone already asked this... but i've already unlocked my phone with 2.31 unlocker (wasn't aware of standalone gps up until like 4 days ago.)
my pri version's 2.03_002. if i flash to stock rom and do not let customizations run, i'll have the 1.57mr1 back. correct?

Re: How to restore Verizon Vogue Standalone GPS
Actually, you don't need to downgrade your PRI if you are going to use Agps which stands for assisted gps. Normally , this is the type of gps most users prefer because you get faster locks . You only need to downgrade your PRI if you are going to use standalone gps WITHOUT Agps. This is the point of this thread.
If you decide you want standalone gps then the guide in the original post of this thread is exactly what you should follow. It's like they say, "To Each His Own." Agps may not be for everyone. That's why standalone gps is a great option. ![]()
