I have wrong coke screen

I have SPL-0.36.0000 on my rainbow screen and in Coke's thread he says do not load a rom from this screen. Well I did. So I try to reload coke .40 or 2.31 and I get error 262 and it says to take the battery out and try again. I've tried many times now but keep getting the same error. It will load to my rom so I'm not stuck at this screen but it won't let me load to the proper unlocker. (2.31)
Can someone help?
EDIT: Additional info, when I try to run 2.31 it gives me "no device connected" error. think I'll try to load from my sd card and see what happens.

I guess the bottom line is this: How do I get out of SPL-0.36.0000 mode and into SPL-0.40 or 2.31 mode?

I don't have a computer connection where I can check if my sd card is fat32 or not. When I try to load 2.31 from the card it gets stuck at the gray screen and says "loading".

just from doing this recently, i vaguely remember the spl showing the .36 when initially installing the .40 unlocker. What does the SPL show when you do a camera + power + reset (hold all buttons).

I'd almost recommend trying to install one of the official ROMs for your carrier, and then the 2.31 unlocker again.

Like I said in my second post it says .36 right now. I'm afraid to flash to a gps rom if my phone is stuck in nongps mode.

Is there a nongps verizon rom out there? I'm searching now.

I've tried many, many different roms/unlockers. I'm still getting the "No Device Connected" error when I run the rom.

This fix actually walks you through using the .40 unlocker and the 2.31 unlocker. I'd try this out, and see if it works.

Thanks for trying. Believe me, I've tried that one. That's what I used to start with.

When I try to run coke .40 that's when I get the "No Device Connected" error.

I think I did the same thing as you originally. I kept getting connection error also. I was able to get an active sync connection but then when I tried to run the unlocker it would disconnect the connection and it would bring up the error message. I don't remember what I had to do exactly to get it to work but try doing a soft reset then go the bootloader mode before the rom loads up or soft reset let the rom load then a connect via active sync and try to re-run the unlocker

OK. I was able to load my stock Verizon rom with radio 3.37 but now by bootloader says 2.01. I tried loading to 2.31 but the same thing was happening as above.

At least I have my phone back but I won't be able to load any custom roms until I'm back to 2.31???

You can close this thread. I just called Verizon and the phone was still under warranty to they're sending me a new one.
