Asurion now replacing the Touch for the Diamond

my daughter has my old Touch (i gave it to her after i got my Touch Pro. the screen started acting flaky and calls kept being dropped. so. i paid the $50 and they sent me another touch (last week). after having it only 1 day, the screen started acting flaky, the end key onscreen to end a phone call stopped working and it stopped ringing (hardreset didn't fix any of the problems). so i called them back on friday and the lady said she would send me a refurbished diamond to replace. i was really happy. anyway, so the ups guy already shows up today and instead of a refurb, it's a brand new, in the original box, diamond.

The Rep gave me the option of paying up front or adding it to my Sprint bill, I opted to be billed by sprint.
She also said it was a new unit, not a refurb.

where can i find the htc touch to select as the phone i have on phone claim? i only see the diamond under htc. is it under audiovox?
When I did the online application it already knew that I had a 6900, I just confirmed so it never let me pick one.

Well i tried and they told me they can't charge it to my bill id just have to pay up front. That sucks because the site is actually giving me a diamond too.

Well apparently alltel doesn't allow you to add the charge to your bill. For what stupid reason I don't know but with all their other backward policies I can't say that im surprised. Im so ready to scrap alltel... just sick of em.

Asurion isn't messing around either, it really does only take a few minutes to make a claim and they ship overnight. Ordered my replacement yesterday afternoon and I'mm have a brand new diamond tomorrow. Thats why we pay $7 a month + deductible. Anyone complaining about getting a brand new upgraded phone is crazy.

the diamond had a crappy battery life just to let you know. also alot of apps don't work on it because it's vga.

I say you are crazy. I do not have the insurance plan and do not pay 7 dollars a month but when ever my touch breaks i just walk into the sprint service and repair shop pay 50 dollars and get a new/refurb touch, what ever is available. So if someone could tell me why pay 7 dollars a month when you still have to pay to get your phone fixed.

If you pay the $7 a month, you can take your phone to a repair store and have it repaired or replaced for Free!. I have had 1 6700 and 3 Touches replaced for free at the repair store. without insurance you would have paid $200, $50 each time. Also paying the $7 gives you the Replacement Program, i.e. if you lose you're phone or it's stolen, you can pay $50( soon to be $100) and get a replacement. I don't think you can walk in to a repair store without a phone with no insurance, and walk out with a new one for $50, I may be wrong.
