well since i dont have insurance, i have been checking the Sprint Advanced Exchange program.. i recently checked it and it says i will recieve a new vogue and that the transaction fee has been waived..has anyone does this free of charge?? becuz towards the end it mentions $120 for a list of things....im considering doing this

I just got refurb HTC Touch today thru Sprint's Advanced Exchange Program. I called up Sprint's retention dept. and told them that my phone is acting weird and I already took it to the store (which I didn't, since I know they would simply do hard reset and I already tried that) and those guys are asking to contact HTC to replace the phone since I don't have insurance on it. The lady was nice and told me that I can go ahead and use advanced exchange program and if they gonna charge me $55 to do that then she will waive the fees. I need to send my old phone back. As of now I do not see any fees charged on my account. I will update once I get confirmation from Sprint. Here is the link for Advanced Exchange Program;

I am a verizon customer with my good ole 6900... was wondering if anyone has news of what verizon is doing because I think they still have refurbs...I only ask because my phone is acting up in a bad way after getting it wet, but my contract is up for renewal in June and I am happy with my service but if Asurion is replacing the verizon vogues with diamonds or touch pros (which verizon has both finally) then 50 bucks for insurance is a better deal than buying a new one and renewing a two year deal... so any help would be great!!!

Im in a similar boat Filthy, i have a 6700 though instead of a 6900 but ive been elegible for a new phone for awhile and am waiting for a few things. One; if i can get a new(er) model phone throug my Asurion upgrade and also if Verizon will EVER drop the prices of their Touch Pro or their newly released (and heavily Gimped) Diamond. I am really condsidering switching to Sprint, verizon just doesnt treat its PPC customers well.

I appreciate both responses.....wish the answers were different though...I wish there prices would drop as well, I don't see why all other touch screen ppc models are more affordable and the two htc models that verizon carries cost a kidney?!?!?! Even with your renewal discount.

I'm pretty sure i accidentally made a claim and am receiving a Diamond in the near future. 50 bucks for an upgrade? i guess i'll take it.

i just filed a claim at the sprint advanced exchange and am getting a new vogue...but im cool with that ill hold onto it until the tp2/diamond2 is released ;

Really? Thats really strange. I started a claim on the 15th and was told i'm getting a diamond and completed a claim yesterday and am still getting the diamond. Maybe i'm just lucky.

Just be careful on how many times you replace it. the third replacement with asurion will have you filling out paperwork before they send you a phone.
