VZW Vogue Stuck at splash screen!

First off I'd like to thank everyone for all the info here. I've flashed my 6700, 6800, 6900 so many times with great success. That being said, I talked my friend into flashing his 6900 to get his GPS unlocked and to add some various features, etc. I walked him through the process over the phone and everything seemed to go fine. After the kitchen ROM was loaded and he hard reset, he gets stuck at the PPC geeks welcome splash. I had him read me off some info, and it turns out that his radio didn't get upgraded. I did have him run the coker2.31 unlocker before we did anything else, but I guess it didn't take...

SO! He can put the phone into bootloader mode but active sync won't connect, so we can't unlock again or reflash. He doesn't have any way to load boot files or anything on his SD card either. I haven't flashed my 6900 in six months or so, so I'm a little rusty with ideas. Also my flashes have always worked out fine *knock on wood*

Any ideas? He has a 6700 he can activate while we sort out the issue, but I assured him that the tech support here would save the day

. It doesn't sound to me like his phone is bricked, so what should we try?

His phone isn't bricked as long as you can reach bootloader

I have a question, whats the bottom of the screen say while in bootloader when attached to the usb ? Might say "serial" or "usb" both work for me.

I'm thinking you can just run the unlocker .exe and it may find your phone...If not try reverting back to stock ROM, this may also find your phone...Be sure that the phone is the only device plugged into the usb as well.

At bootloader it says "serial" then "usb" if he's plugged in. We tried running the unlocker again and it doesn't detect his phone. I'm thinking of trying the VZW rom that's been up here for a while. If it's an official release would it count as a "stock" rom? If not I might need a bit of help reverting him back.

Update: The "official" verizon release got him back up and running. The RUU worked fine without active sync seeing his phone, which is odd since the unlocker wouldn't. Anyways, we're back up and running, thanks for the ideas!

So I lied! My friend called me today to inform me that he cannot make or receive calls. I had him hard reset, multiple soft reset, run*228, etc. No dice. I think he didn't completely unlock before he started flashing, so now that he's actually able to boot into the OS we're going to start over with the unlocker.
