Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
depends on the phone. I know on my old samsung I could browse my phone's photos folder using bluetooth. From what you are saying I assume it's not on a microsd card?

Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
chris, if its just a cracked screen issue, sync ur phone to pc. once synced, browse mobile device/my docs/my pics. As previously stated. If that doesnt work, then c if u can install mymobiler, that mite allow u to find the pics on ur fone. friendly reminder, I ALWAYS either copy to or save to sd too, no "smartypants" stuff, jus saying. Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
I'm not syncing it to my comp because I dont have a USB cable. I always synced with bluetooth. After if get the stuff off I'm getting it fixed and giving it to my brother.
Skeeg- I usually save everything to the sd but I was skiing and if I lost my phone I didnt want the card to be in it. Maybe next time I should just leave the phone in the condo. Last edited by chris6; 01-07-2009 at 02:00 AM. |

Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
once you sync with your pc you can see all your files and copy them to the pc.

Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
you shouldnt need to see the phone screen. turn on the phone. give it five minutes to boot up (shouldnt take that long but you will be booted by then for sure). be sure your pc is fired up. then use a usb tether. the phone usb connection is a universal one so if you dont have the y cord that came with the phone you can find the usb anywhere (it probably has a name like usb a or something) i call it a miniusb. that connects your usb phone to the pc.
in xp activesync will pick up the phone automatically. and you can then browse the phone files and take off all you want to the pc use the "eplore" menu in activesync on top). in vista you may have to use the microsoft mobile software (its free also) and it may ask you to set up a connection or connect without setting it up, do the connect with out settings, and then hit the "browse files" menu. absent activesync or msmobile, the pc may pick the phone t up automatically as a new drive. its really simple. |
