Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
I guess a good question to ask would be what kind of phone is your old phone?

Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
I would second skeegcpp and imdarkside's posts. Any standard usb/mini usb cable, such as those that come with most digital cameras, or can be found in any dollar store, used with MyMobileR, Windows Explorer and ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center is all you really need to do it all. You could backup your device data using PIMBackup from your device using MyMobileR as your interface in lieu fo your broken screen to backup your data for reuse on another machine. For the rest just browse the device from Windpws Explorer and copy the files you want to save such as ringtones, pictures and other documents. No sweat.
Edit: Ahem... As I was typing this ( I stopped for supper...), I was under the impression from your personal info that it was about your HTC Touch, and I just found out it's an LG ![]() ![]() Last edited by Old Faithful; 01-08-2009 at 11:13 PM. |

Re: Help: Getting files off a phone
You were correct at first. It is for my touch. I connected to my LG through bluetooth but I didnt know how to navigate through my LG to get to get some things off it or if it was even possible to do. Kinda like w/ can connect to our laptops and seach through them, just wanted to know if the same thing could be done from phone to phone.
