It's funny you brought this up cause I was just thinking the same thing. I love the touch and not sure how I feel about the pro. Things will still come out for a good while though. The release of WM 6.5 is very close with WM7 to follow. There is still support for phone much older then ours. I'll upgrade eventually but not till prices drop or the hardware issues people are talking about get addressed... Also the next gen isn't to far off either...

Re: have we reached the end of the line?
eh, I had so many problems with my Pro that I am back to my Vogue, looking for the latest and greatest. There are so many issues with the Diamond and Pro, I am surprised so many people are dropping their Touchs
![]() overheating and charging issues come to mind. My Vogue feels too dang slow now though, and I miss the VGA screen. I am counting the seconds until I can order the X1a through bestbuy.com... I would potentially buy the Fuze, but the GPS problems are scary... I wonder if I could hold onto my Touch long enough to get the next greatest thing? My company is buying me whatever phone I want, in the world, and I can't freakin' decide! Every phone has huge drawbacks... I really wish I could get a Touch HD that worked with AT&T 3G ![]() |

Re: have we reached the end of the line?
shows how slow the forums are moving these days, the last post on this thread was 24 hours ago, and this post was still at the top of the list. Of course it's the holidays but I remember being so excited for the next big update which would add some cool feature or fix something. now, there's nothing. I don't know if the developers have left us or we reached the limit of the hardware. but i no longer feel as though i should check this site every day, hoping for something extra cool. we're in the cool-down stage i guess.

Re: have we reached the end of the line?
Has anybody seen the freeware "FEwidgets"? Its kind of like the omnia today screen, and to make widgets, you just need to know flash. Maybe a Touch Rom with that built in can be the next step...

Re: have we reached the end of the line?
I dont really think weve reached the max potiental of the Vogue, But I do think all the developers are much more involved in the Diamond and Pro and its hard to blame them, its all about the latest and greatest. I think im gonna stick with mine for a while cause its super stable and the GPS is awesome and I keep hearing about issues with the other two. The only real benifit I see is the awesome looking VGA screen. So I think Ill skip this step of the HTC eveloution and wait for the ''next'' latest and greatest.
I just warrantied my vogue this week and got a brand spankin new one (not refurb) So Id say it'll hold out till the next release.
