it just replaces your htc home file. Totally safe man I tried everything then installed this & I was able to get my local weather trust me its worth it lol.

Doh, That is were I downloaded the cert cab and the htchomedll file that screwed up everything. So if i use this one file I can just add the weather update file? or is it more to it.

I used the download I linked you to and it just started working then I added the cities I wanted into the XML file.

Trust me im pretty certain it'll work, I had the exact same problem about a month ago and then installed the exploder htc home cab and edited the xml file and it worked. Everytime I used any other one it would freeze on the main screen before htc home would fully start up.

In appreciate your help,
I installed the cab you send, I installed total commander. Thru TC I found the hh_0409_weathercities.xml and selected properties and deselected All tributes (In Rom is checked and grey so I cannot uncheck it. When I sync it wont let me replace the file!!! What am I doing wrong? |

Try Dragging it to a different folder then on your phone try sliding it over to the folder from there.

I place the file in a different folder, copied and tried to paste into windows folder, Access Denied. I turned off the HTC Home, maybe I need to turn off something else that is using the old file?

Ok so you installed Total Commander, went to the windows folder in your phone found HH_409_WeatherCitiesXML opened properties and unchecked everything inside then tried to copy it over correct? Make sure you have the right file your copying over, I use " Patched Weather Files" zip from this post
