I just tried out ShapeWriter, and while it takes a little getting used to, it is definitely one of the quickest and most accurate input methods i have ever tried on a touchscreen device.

Its not free... but you can download it and it works if you just click "cancel" when it prompts you for the authorization code.

Does anyone have the problem of TouchPal dropping the first word of almost every text message? I don't know if its a ROM or a KB problem but its really damn annoying.

No. Does it do this while your typing or after your done and hit SEND?

it does this when I try to reply. I will get an incoming text, hit reply, it opens up the conversation window and the keyboard pops up. I will type a word, it will disappear, then the next word i type will be the first word shown.

touchpal for me....tried the fullscreen kb it sucked....when i would recieve a text in the middle of typing a message, i would have to retype everything....couldnt deal with it

I like the Touch Diamond Qwerty but it has a few quirks that I don't like over the standard kb. I am going to try the touchpal now. It seems to be the most popular on here.
