Brand new Touch... what to do with it?

So I just got a verizon touch brand new. Shelled out the whole 199.99 for the thing after I lost my 6700. I messed around with my 6700 some. I had 6.1 on it and such.

But this thing... it's alright. Right off the bat I'd enjoy a few things:

A decent full keyboard. I used a aquatint's and he had a full horizontal keyboard that automatically switched the orientation. It was pretty nice, but I can't seem to find anything like that around.

GPS...

Bluetooth object transfer.

A decent video player? TCPMP? WMP mobile codecs for flac?

I don't know, I'm kind of an idiot. What would you do with a shiny new touch?

Don't worry we have a few idiots here. Before we can help you we need to know how much of an idiot you are. Do you know how to flash the latest ROM onto your Vogue? Do you like doing a little research? Ever installed custom ROMs onto a PDA? Tell us how much you know and then we can help you turn that shiny new touch into a rusty old one.

If youre talking about an on-screen keyboard, it was probably SPB's Full Screen keyboard. Funny thing is, you already had the keywords in your original post: Full Screen Keyboard...which is the first result given! Google is there for a reason.

I too have a brand new xv6900 from vz ... I have all the apps i can use ... but wanted GPS enabled ..

NOOB Status ALERT : ... i dont know how to flash nor have i installed any ROM (custom or otherwise) ... I tried to do customy my fone to with WAD and WA3 to no avail .. i had to restore my setting
I like to do research but there is SOOOOO much out there ...this works and that works and this is better etc ..and most people have SPRINT ...

So
1. point me in the right direction (which latest rom to enable gps)
2. SO many roms ...i dont know the difference or why pick 1 rom over another... sorry TOTAL NOOB!

go with touchpal if you are looking for a good SIP keyboard. there are lots of roms on here and they all have their strenght so you have to install them and try them out. they all have their little bugs. Dharveys rom is still the best and least buggy to me but that's just me. Whosdaman has a real good one too. I am checking into dettes soon.

thanks JJ .. trying it out now ... also ... once I install the custom rom ...can i still install apps ?? sorry if its an NOOOOOOOOBBB question ... just wondering ... also can i still download themes and customization apps ?? thanks again ... Jackie
