I just flashed the new rom, AlltelNav gets a lock in seconds, agps style, but google maps cannot get a lock on its own at all. I just did the agps hack with QPST, and flashed my custom rom back to the phone, still no luck with gps at all, cannot get a lock. VisualGPS doesnt even show any sats in view.

Hard reset got GPS working on my custom rom, still doesnt seem to be Agps however. Taking a good 30-45 secs to get 3-5 sats

Hey guys, did you notice? The link to the update page has been taken down! I am happy I added the link to the update page itself to this post other wise I would have had no proof it was ever really there. So at least we can still get around it and get the download. It looks like HTC made an error and posted it early and just took down the link to the download page itself. Lucky i found it when I did if that is true. Just about to flash my phone now. I just got off work.

I went through and applied the aGPS fixes and registry changes and it is much better. These fixes do work with this version of the ROM. You should not apply the "enable GPS" patches to this ROM as GPS is already enabled.

I updated to the new ROM and noticed that GPS was working [the Alltel Nav software sparked up] but AGPS was not [could not get Google Maps to work. I reapplied the GPS patches and the Super Lock on fix and updated registry.

Now neither GPS or AGPS works.... damn.. any ideas?

I find it interesting that Altell chose to stick with the 3.42.30 radio, even though 3.42.50 is available.

They (Altell) aparently established a level of comfort with the next ROM version from HTC (3.10.671 vs. 3.09.671) but didn't go to the later radio versions (stuck with 3.42.30 vs. 3.42.50).

Anyone else having trouble with TCPMP with this ROM? When I try to run it, I get an "Unexpected program failure" pop-up.
