Show me where he claimed that he wrote the programs. Obviously he will claim he created his roms (as all chefs do), but a specific reference where he says that he wrote it ... I may be wrong, but I haven't seen it.

I'll point something else out ... who but no2chem would even know to look inside the binary? The references he removed were not even visible to ordinary folks. If NFSFan really wanted to claim it as his own you'd think he'd be a little more obvious about it. Perhaps we should be asking why people were poking through NFSFan's roms in the first place? Seems to be a lot of people here with axes to grind with NFSFan. I'm no fanboy of his (I do not normally run his roms, and we've actually had our differences in the forum), but the more I read this thread the more I think something stinks.

edit: if you look, most of the problems recently with banned users, all have these orange buttons...

honestly man if his thread was still available you would see where he called it USB2PC and claimed it ......

also the NFSFAN ROM protection was stolen from bepe ....

Still even if it is a hack job, look at how many people tried to hack HTC's Touchflo, and no one was even remotely close to successful on a device w/o 3D Acceleration (unless you call 1-3 fps sucessful...). To "hack" his rom took roughly 6-8 hours at least, so it wasn't even like it was that easy to hack his own rom. I can only imagine he put in a decent amount of time like yourself while working on it, so it was by far no easy task. It was still taken from him without any permission. While yes the name wasn't change, it's still stealing from his work w/o permission.

Actually Herg quit working on Hergila as soon as Manila 2D came out. Manila 2D is udK's original work at editing the HTC code, and was not part of Hergila. I saw this unfold as I tried using Hergila as soon as I saw Manila 2D being released in the rom, and I followed the whole development of it as it happened.

Herg said something along the lines of "I'll extract it out of the rom within the day..." unfortunatly Noonski deleted at least 40 pages worth of stuff, and he deleted herg's post that said that (if you search PPCGeeks, you will see references to his post #23, but when you go there post #23 is by someone else).

It seems the only tie Herg has with the current one is he did some early extraction, and he builds the cabs for everyone.


Now once AGAIN I am not defending NSFFan, all I am pointing out is this is another example of illegally stealing work, and this should be considered Warez. People are editing code that is not open source, and using it for their own benefit. Hell even udK is responsible for stealing software and editing it that is Copyright from HTC. But because HTC / udK hasn't contacted PPCGeeks about hosting it, it's completely ok.

regardless of what anyone says mod or otherwise the fact of the matter is he violated forum rules by definition and it wasn't the first time. I tried helping the kid i even provided him with the tools and files to better the 3d development for the vogue but rules are rules and it is my job to make sure they are enforced. if you're not familiar with following orders perhaps i can suggest getting married or have a few kids...you'll learn quick what good structure means. with that being said this thread is now closed and will be edited for content. once that is done by no2chem it will then be reopened and the only discussion that will be allowed will be that relating to the original post. there will be no flaming no name calling no bashing no nothing...this will be everyones final warning any infractions after this will warrant a 2 week ban...capice?
