LOL @ an honest mistake.... it took quite some bit of effort to edit/change what he did, and it surely couldn't have been 'accidental', it was intentional and criminal.

All who donate to nfsfan should be ashamed; as a donator to Wei Enterprises i am outraged. Donating for original work is one thing, but donating to support the efforts involved in hiding plagiarism is embarrassing.

It's time for the fanboys to step-up and act like men and remove their support for this ordinary 'chef' who continually and blatantly takes credit for others' work.

No2chem, I would consider requesting that all those who were credited for 'helping' with his 'programming' also receive bans. Please continue your hard work and know that the intelligent people out here support you fully in any way we can.

I am not a fanboy, but rather was trying to support a ROM maker who was apparently having his ROMs deleted and corrupted on an insecure FTP server.

Like I said, I will support any ROM maker with a secure FTP account and web host to distribute their ROMs. Thii offer is only good for those who are honest and have no complaints of illegal use or copying of content.

That was given some thought. Unfortunately, NFSFAN has been extremely diligent in pointing out that it's his ROM from his efforts, with a few well documented exceptions. One can only conclude, therefore, that the editing was actually performed by NFSfan. This is given slightly more weight given the general absence of credit to no2chem despite the several apps of his in use and the obvious knowledge of who no2chem is. What makes this particularly insulting in my eyes is the flagrant nature of it: no2chem happens to be a valued member right here, not some other site. To use the prior persons analogy, this is tantamount to going to your neighbor, asking him for the keys to his car, changing the license plate, then parking it in front of his house and saying "check out my rad wheels".

That's not really fair. Plenty of people could have helped in a completely legitimate and innocent manner. Of course, we have no evidence that anyone helped (quite the contrary), and I doubt anyone will step forward to claim involvement.

couldn't have said it better myself. that's exactly what it would be like. and it would be so completely idiotic, moronic, and imbecilic....that i don't exactly think that's what he was doing.

it don't make sense to you all that..this move was jus, "TOO DUMB" and maybe there's a more sensible reasoning behind it?

it was a BAD move....not sure if it was a DUMB one. and that's what it's being categorized as right now. i don't think the guy is a dummy.

but then again, he may jus be a retard that's handy with a hex editor. possible, but doesn't really make much sense to me.

The removal of the files from the FTP certainly should have been defended, and my comments were not directed at those efforts. I am talking about defending the plagiarism that was apparent to some people prior to this event with no2chems software, and the rabid support without looking at the facts in front of those supporters.

What I am saying now is that after being hit over the head with this proof, it's time to stop being a 'fanboy' and react appropriately. The editing that went into trying to conceal the use of no2chems software took deliberate and calculated efforts to achieve: this was no 'accident', and to continue to think so is silly.

it is plagiarism. can't deny that. and it was wrong and a bad move. but guess he said to himself one day, "think i'll steal no2chem's (one of the most popular guys on the site) work...and claim it as my own."

to think that was his plan....is what's silly.

I'm open to suggestion. I haven't come up with another scenario that fits the facts, and I've had plenty of time to think about it. It'd be nice to think he isn't that stupid, but the present facts are very compelling.

Ever notice how you view other people as basically being like yourself? Anyone remember what NFSfan accused various people of a couple weeks back based on ZERO facts? Interesting coincidence.
