Manila 2D! - Page 9

How do i get the top bar (where the start button and the clock...etc) and the bottom bar to have the same theme as the manilla2D?

I had my hard reset my touch and then applied the bell customization, so the default blue bell theme is there and id like to change it to match the manilla dark blue theme.... I ve even tried the black manialla 2d theme and it only changes the middle navigation part without the top and bottom...

i went into the settings>personal>today ... it only displays BELL_PPC6800 (which is the theme it is using), GUava Bubbles, Windows default, MOdbile 6.1, Mobile Green... h
Nothing matches the manilla 2d theme...

1 quick question.
The alarm on the home screen always shows "alarm off". Is it working?

It works...I guess it will only show when you have an alarm set to go off...at a certain amount of time.

I just flashed mine and my alarm on the homescreen is working and it just went off....I set a new alarm and it works. Any existing alarms I had set didn't work.

for those wondering, yes I even set my alarms in my rom!

i think some of you are missing that this is still a project not a finished product. Asking why wont this work or this wont do anything because no one can debug a half finished program. Its still missing a ton of components not in that initial cab. Ive kept up with the 200 pages on xda and you need whole new htc album, audiomanager, and task manager versions beyond the simple cab program (which still is missing dll's and such).

give it time trying to figure out why one little feature doesnt work probably will just drive you nuts as its probably just not done yet.

I also think its too early, unless you flash a lot, to install this. its still in its infant stage. i had it installed probably 90% working and simply took it off because its too much hassle to have it not fully working and keep tweaking it for hours and hours. When its totally finished well all know about it but give the xda guys time itll take days of sifting through stuff.

I know vetvito has it more like 98-99% working but hes not going to release anything until its done and hes confident its fully working. I cant see why installing the 75% done one would be benificial at this point. the finished one may require a hard reset if youve already been messing with it.

i already see people in the Manilla 2d ROM thread freaking out because stuff isnt working and they assumed if its in a ROM its 100% working. I cant see releasing a ROM based around a half working program

Thanks for the reply, but I am not going to ask for help without trying it first.
I'll try reinstalling the whole thing again and see.

I now have a fully functional Manila application including the Youtube plugin and art as well as the audio manager now functioning.

Thanks to Rictheif over at xda I got the last 2 fcomponents working. As of 558 a.m. EST the app was only 96% funtional excluding the Youtube plugin and the Audio Manager. Thats all a thing of the past.

Firstly, you must have the latest XDA- Team build of Manila installed on your device. Then follow the below instructions.

Instructions:

To get Youtube functioning you have to download and install the Youtube cab, then using a Regeditor navigate HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila/InternetWidget/Customized/0/ make sure that CustomizationURL Value Data is Windows\youtube.exe then make sure that CustomizationIcon Value Data is Windows\HH_INTERNET_YOUTUBE.bmp.

To make the Audio Manager work you have to install an older version of HTC Audio Manager and the OX_ Audio Manager cab. After doing both of these soft reset and it should work like a charm.

Note: The Audio Manger will keep searching initially but after about 4-5 minutes just tap the music note on the launcher line and the music should then pop up. Files attatched. good luck and as always enjoy!

If the mods don't mind, I've taken the liberty of putting the files i've gathered togther from here and there in order to get xda's manilla 2d.CAB as complete as I can at this point. If this post is seen unnecessary or unfit, please remove.

OBX-Opera_9.5Build1957.WWE.zip(required to make "globe" tab functional) <-search for it

HTC_YouTube.zip(required to make "youtube" icon to work) <--also search for it... regedit to point to YouTube.exe in \Windows" directory in HKLM>Software>HTC>Manilla2D>Internet Widget>Customized>0 - Key "CustomizedURL" and "CustomizedIcon" - \Windows\YouTube.exe and \Windows\HH_INTERNET_YOUTUBE.bmp, then soft reset.

htchome-2.1-n2a.cab.zip(required HTC diamond theme make weather, contacts, programs to work in some custom rom that do not HTC home)

GoogleMaps_compressed.zip(required for "search" tab)

Black_Manilla2D.zip(optional black skin - unzip files into "device \Windows folder")
