Thumbs down Bell ROM vs. Sprint ROM

I have Verizon's xv6900 and was wondering which REV A GPS ROM to flash. I've done a little research and some say that signal is better on Bell but GPS lock is better on Sprint. I have noticed that the radio version on Bell is 3.42.5 vs. Sprint's 3.42.3. Are there any differences and should I go with one over another? Any help appreciated. Any custom rom suggestions also!

Re: Bell ROM vs. Sprint ROM

you can always flash the radio only if you want after flashing to one of the roms.

Re: Bell ROM vs. Sprint ROM

Are you saying I can flash the Sprint Rom and then upgrade the radio? And if so how would I go about that. Any real benefits?

1) Flash the Sprint OEM ROM

http://216.139.227.226/RUU_PPST_Vogu..._2.04_Ship.exe

2) Flash the 3.42.50 Radio

This archive contains the 3.42.50 Radio *.nbh file.
http://www.lifesnotsogood.com/dcd118...%203.42.50.rar

This archive contains the tool to flash an *.nbh file.
ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/OMJ/Tools/RUU.rar

Create a folder and into that folder, put the contents (all of the files) from each of the two archives. Then run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and it will walk you through the promts for flashing.

Best regards,
-boggsie

Re: Bell ROM vs. Sprint ROM

Thanks for the instructions. So I'm assuming you're oviously saying Sprint OEM ROM is better than Bell. Any particular reason why it would be?

I keep getting error 328 via RUU. Tried to flash it via the MicroSD card, and that didn't work either. Even reloaded CoKe's unlocker. No luck. Should I just flash the Bell ROM and reset before customizations to get this radio on my Sprint Vogue?

Re: Bell ROM vs. Sprint ROM

pretty sure there are many custom verizon roms for the touch. you just have to search and see which one you like then flash. i don't have the touch but i'm sure that others with it will help you
