COntacts not showing up

I have the Touch and I noticed yesterday that my Contacts will not show up when I press any of the Contacts buttons.

I've done multiple soft resets which showed 1 contact at one time. I did a backup and it retrieved the amount of entries I had so its there it just doesn't show up.

I've removed the battery, changed batteries and performed a hard reset, to no avail.

WWSD? (what will sprint do)

or any suggestions on fixing this?

Had it happen to mine once. I popped it onto active sync and that pushed them back into my contacts tab... Haven't had a prob since.

Re: COntacts not showing up

Thanks you two, I did try to push them back via PIMbackup but they still won't show up. Phone is freezing on incoming calls now also.

Not sure if I should reinstall the Rom or take it to Sprint.

I'm really getting tired of dealing with these problems this phone has.

I've had it since Feb./March will Sprint replace it via the insurance and will I have to pay a $50 deductible?

Re: COntacts not showing up

if you've done a hard reset and it still doesn't work then something weird is going on. i really doubt that a hardware problem could cause a software issue involving the contacts. after you hard-reset, how did you put your contacts back on your phone? if you restored them from a backup file or active sync, i would say that somehow your contacts information has become corrupted. did you try, after a hard-reset, to add only new contacts and see if that works. if so you may have to manually re-enter all your contact information, but again, i highly doubt its a hardware issue.

Re: COntacts not showing up

thats exactly how mine is.

I did try to manually enter numbers and they don't show up either.

I'm going to reinstall the Rom and see what happens. luckily I didn't re-add any programs from the last install.

Will let you know it goes itssakyo!

Re: COntacts not showing up

I sorta had something similiar when i backed up with SPBACKUP. the only thing i saw that fixed it was just to reflash (I KNOW THAT SUCKS) then restore all your contacts.
