As long as you change both username entries I mentioned before you will be OK. Just make sure you don't exceed your monthly limit (usually 5gb) and don't run applications on your pc using the tethered internet you wouldn't on your phone (i.e. bittorrent/emule/etc).

Re: xv6900 tethered modem help please ! !! !

I just upgraded my XV6900 to rev.A and GPS. I'm trying to set up Internet Sharing but when I put in ##778, it rings and I get a Verizon automated message. Shouldn't it go straight into the application so I can edit my MIP profile and all that stuff?

Thanks,
uptmepo777

Looks like you let the sprint carrier cabs run or you are using non ## code compatable dialer. Try ##778# and see what happens as thats the sprint epst code :P. Which rom are you using and what dialer? You should also be able to get to the epst from your file explorer under windows and click on it.

Thanks drellisdee! Using ##778# worked. I know I ran the Verizon Carrier cab though so I'm surprised that didn't allow ##78 to work.

If you ran the sprint cabs you more than likely will have data authenication problems.
