Re: Htc Touch price drop..
I would take that $10/mo in a heartbeat! To pay $20/mo for 500 minutes and unlimited data/text would be un-real.
I decided to try my hand with ecare. I just shot them an email and we will see what happens.

Re: Htc Touch price drop..
I just emailed ecare about the issue and recieved a response within a couple hours.
They creidited $100 to my account, which still left a $50 difference. I just replied and told them in a nice way that I still want the remaining $50. We will see what their reply is. I take back what I said earlier about the BS not being worth it. If you purchased the Touch recently, make sure to get your money!!! |

Well, I was thinking the same thing since I cam coming from a Verizon plan I was paying $85/mo for basically the same service and now playing $30/mo with Sprint. I am saving a ton per month, but hey, $150 is $150. If they credit all of that to my account, I don't have a phone bill for several months! |

Re: Htc Touch price drop..
Well, I bought mine from Best Buy 10 days ago and that was a mission in itself since Best Buy was ordered to return the phones 14 days ago as they were being "discontinued" - I assume for the Diamond. But being so impatient I just had to have one and found a store that had 1 still left so I snatched that one up for $ 200.00. Not sure if I can get some money back since I went this route but still think for $ 200 the phone is worth it. I still can't stop tinkering with the damn thing - changing my today screen and add ons and all. Thanks to this site for turning me on to the Touch (no pun intended).

Re: Htc Touch price drop..
Just got another round of emails from Ecare. At first, she tried to say that the phone was now being sold for $250, so I was all squared with them after the initial $100 account credit.
I then replied with a link to the Sprint site showing the price as $200 before mail in rebate and I got a reply very shortly afterward saying she had applied the entire $150 difference. Big thumbs up to Sprint Ecare. It is much better than waiting on hold and haggling through ten tiers of service reps to get anything done. I am more and more glad I switched from VZ to Sprint when I did. |

Re: Htc Touch price drop..
Wow, this is too weird. I just spend two days and serveral calls to cust service and sales to get my touch. Was fighting with them about the 150 discount + 100 mail-in. But I also had a 150 rebate for being a loyal sprint customer (or sprint sucker? whichever). Problem was they said I couldn't apply both rebates and the instant saving, rather it was one or the other. Well after I convinced them otherwise I finally got my phone for 100 even. Still waiting on the rebate though.. Such a hard fought victory only to now see it vanish with the price cut. I was lucky however to get sero in the nick of time..

Re: Htc Touch price drop..
Having dealt with customer service on the phone and having similar long battles back and forth like you, I found it much easier to use ecare and get it taken care of quicker. No waiting on hold, getting disconnected and transfered.
Email them. They will take care of it for you. |

Re: Htc Touch price drop..
I bought the $30 sero plan July 11th with crappy M520 phone. When they dropped the price on the HTC Touch (Vogue) and locked sero down July 13th, I called CS and returned my M520 and they shipped me the Vogue at the new price. The new sero rebate will work as well. THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL GETTING LUCKY! Or a slick deal, whichever you prefer
Can't wait to try out some new roms, loving the community. PS I always just go straight to retentions when I call in (just say "cancel" when prompted), I have much better luck dealing with them. Last edited by tatnai; 07-16-2008 at 09:08 AM. |
